For this photo assignment, I chose to do light painting. When I saw the demonstration in class, it looked like an interesting topic to do, so I decided to try it out. This was my top photo I chose: Exposure Triangle: Shutter Speed: 15 seconds ISO: 200 Aperture: f/5.6 5 more photos I liked:During this assignment, I learned how much time it actually takes to do light painting, and how difficult it can be because you don't know how the picture is going to turn out until after it's done, However, in the end I did really enjoy it, and I like how my pictures turned out.

For this assignment, we were given an original photo of a car and set with a task to edit it using photoshop tools such as clone stamp, levels, and the selection tool. First Car Edit:Second Car Edit:During this assignment, I learned how to use multiple different tools in photoshop to make a picture look more impressive. I never realized how tedious but fun photoshop can be. I do really like using the application, even if it can be frustrating from time to time.
For this assignment, I chose to take pictures of animals. I used a nice camera that was good with aperture to produce better portrait style pictures of my dogs. This is the best photo I took: Exposure Triangle: Aperture: f5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/30 ISO: 400 Here Are 5 More Photo's That I Liked:During this assignment, I learned that it can be really difficult to take pictures of animals. My one dog was terrified of the camera, and my other one kept trying to make me pet him while I took pictures. I had to bribe them with treats to get them to do what I want. Overall though, I like how my photos turned out.
For this assignment, we had to use photoshop to edit two pictures into pop art style. The first photo was one of myself, and the next was one of my choice, and I chose to edit a picture of my dog Jack. Here's the originals versus the photoshopped versions: During this assignment, I learned how to better use photoshop, using tools such as filters, rulers, canvas, and threshold. This was my first time ever using photoshop for true editing, and I enjoyed it.
For shooting assignment two, I want to take pictures on the topic of animals. I'm hoping I can get better at capturing a personality in a picture, and using the correct aperture for the best picture. These are photographs I found that I plan to use as inspiration for my own: I think these pictures capture the personality of these dogs well, and they're not merely just cute pictures of dogs. I'm hoping I can do this with my own pictures as well.
For this assignment, I had to use the camera in manual mode. It required me to select correct aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and use elements of composition to produce a good landscape picture. This is my best photo I took: Exposure Triangle: Aperture: f/8.0 Shutter-Speed: 1/40 ISO: 80 Another 5 Photos I took that were good...During this assignment, I learned it can be difficult to try to take landscape photos during sunset. Sometimes the sun is too bright, sometimes it's too dark. It's hard to get it just right. However, I do think the color pay off from the sunset was worth the struggle. I think the colors in my pictures are fairly cool and went pretty well.
For shooting assignment one, I want to focus on landscapes. I hope I can focus on getting better at emphasizing what is important and what is not in a photo, and using good composition techniques to make my photography more appealing. These are some cool examples of winter landscape photography I found online for inspiration: I think these are really cool examples of winter landscape photography. Some have really pretty white and blues, while others have more color from the sunrise or sunset. The roads used in the pictures also add a neat touch. I like how these turned out, so I will also try to take mine using a road to add to the photos.
For this assignment I had to take pictures that display eleven elements of composition, including rule of thirds, texture, and more. I had to first learn to use the basics of the camera, practice taking pictures, find things that displayed the elements of composition, and then finally choose my favorites and compose them into this blog post. This assignment taught me how to use the camera in auto mode, and the basic things to look for in order to take a nice photograph. I found it fun to search for the different elements of composition around the school to take pictures of. It also taught me that using the right form of zoom is important in order to produce a higher quality picture.
My name is Faith. I'm in the Saline Marching band and I play piccolo. I have two dogs named Jack and Blaze, and a brother named Phil. I too his class because I needed a technology credit and this class seemed interesting. I used to enjoy photography when I was younger, and I'm glad to be back to it.
