For this photo assignment, I chose to do motion. I took pictures of a nearby creek where the water is flowing relatively quickly due to the recent snow melt and rain. I had to use a really slow shutter speed to get the pictures to show the motion. Here is my best photo: Original: Edited: Exposure Triangle: ISO: 400 Shutter-speed: 1/5 Aperture: f/5.6 Here's another of 5 photo's I liked:During this assignment, I learned while taking photo's that show motion it can be really difficult to prevent camera shake. It's also hard to take the photo' when the wind is blowing because everything starts to show motion blur. I had to go to many different settings trying to get the right speed of water for my photo's. In the end though, I think they turned out okay.

For this photoshop assignment, we had to edit a picture of multiple of the same talent in a similar picture. This is how my two photos turned out: During this assignment, I learned how to use many new tools like stacks and layer mask. This assignment was not particularly difficult, but it was time consuming to get the pictures you as wanted them to be. In the end, this assignment was fun and I actually really liked it.
For this assignment, we had to edit a picture of the school we had using photoshop to change the context. I chose to put my picture in the context of Harry Potter. Original Photo:Edited Version:During this assignment, I learned how to use many different tools in photoshop, such as the blur tool, filters, and the cut/copy and paste tool. This assignment was difficult with the theme I chose, because almost all the pictures online weren't of the highest quality, and it was hard to select the pictures with tools to cut them out because photoshop had trouble distinguishing between the colors on the pixels. Photoshop also freaked out more than once and messed up my progress. Overall, I thought this assignment was cool, but I felt it was fairly difficult.
For this assignment, I chose to do food. I had to position the food very specifically with good lighting to actually produce good pictures. For editing I used photoshop to turn up the contrast and crop the picture. This is my original photo compared to the edited version: Exposure Triangle: ISO: 800 Shutter-Speed: 1/50 Aperture: f/4.0 These are 5 other photo's I liked:During this assignment, I learned how hard it can be to set up photo's and get the perfect lighting. I had to keep retaking the photo's using different lights and angles, with and without a piece of paper trying to get a good photo. In the end, my pictures turned out okay, but they could have been better.
For this assignment, we had to go out and take multiple pictures using a tripod, and put them together into a panoramic using the tool photo merge in photoshop, and crop them to make them look good. These are my top 5 panoramics I took: During this assignment, I learned the multiple aspects of what goes into taking a panoramic photo. You most likely have to use a tripod, you have to take multiple photographs, overlapping each photo approximately 40% and put them into photoshop and merge them using the photo merge tool. Typically, the panoramics came out slightly jagged, and you had to crop to get rid of the jaged edges. Overall, I liked this photoshop assignment.
For photo assignment 4, I chose to focus on taking macro photos. I had to use a new focus mode in the camera, macro, to take these photographs. This was my top photograph: Original Photo:Edited Version:Exposure Triangle: Aperture: f/3.5 Shutter-Speed: 1/25 ISO: 80 Here's 5 other photo's I took that I also liked: During this assignment, I learned how difficult using macro mode actually can be. The focus area is so small that it can sometimes be hard to get the subject in the perfect spot for ideal focus. I had to try multiple times at some point before getting the result I wanted. Overall though, I really like how my pictures turned out, and I enjoyed this assignment.
For this photo assignment, I chose to do light painting. When I saw the demonstration in class, it looked like an interesting topic to do, so I decided to try it out. This was my top photo I chose: Exposure Triangle: Shutter Speed: 15 seconds ISO: 200 Aperture: f/5.6 5 more photos I liked:During this assignment, I learned how much time it actually takes to do light painting, and how difficult it can be because you don't know how the picture is going to turn out until after it's done, However, in the end I did really enjoy it, and I like how my pictures turned out.
For this assignment, we were given an original photo of a car and set with a task to edit it using photoshop tools such as clone stamp, levels, and the selection tool. First Car Edit:Second Car Edit:During this assignment, I learned how to use multiple different tools in photoshop to make a picture look more impressive. I never realized how tedious but fun photoshop can be. I do really like using the application, even if it can be frustrating from time to time.
